Jeanine Marie Anderson, 49, of New London, died January 17, 2018 at her home. She was born January 20, 1968 at Kent County Hospital in Warwick, Rhode Island to Franklin Keith and Mary Anne Browning Gardner. On August 1, 1992, she married Arnold Paul Anderson at the Middletown Presbyterian Church.
A 1986 graduate of Burlington High School, Jeanine then earned her BA in social work from Iowa State University in 1991. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Burlington; New London PTO and New London Music Boosters.
She was a very talented woman. She could draw; make wreaths and floral arrangments; could fix most anything; loved children and dogs; was a Civil Rights Activist; loved the Clark Elementary library; loved the New England Patriots and could name them all; and built a beautiful playhouse for her children.
She worked fourteen years at New London Community School District.
Besides her husband, Arnie, of New London, she is survived by one daughter, Samantha of New London and Macomb; one son, Jack of Burlington; her mother Anne Morgan of Burlington; one brother, Franklin (Bonnie) Gardner, Jr. of Alexandria, VA.; one sister, Renee (Alan) Andrews, of West Point; five step-sisters; Chris (Ken) Gregory, Robin (Omer) Vahle, both of Burlington, Karen (Tom) George, League City, TX., Lori (Rick) Morgan and Lisa Morgan Sears, both of Des Moines; nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, step-father Donnie Morgan and grandparents.
The funeral service for Jeanine Anderson will be 3:00 Tuesday, January 23 at Elliott Chapel with Reverend Deb Kinney officiating. Visitation will begin at nine with the family present to receive friends at 1:00 until the time of service. According to her wishes, her body will be cremated following the services and inurnment will be held in Middletown Cemetery at a later date.
A memorial has been established to help the family with funeral expenses.
